WooCommerce vs EcomIndex

WooCommerce leaves AI shopping to extensions and to Google. Nothing in it shows which brands AI answers name in your category, or which sites they cite. EcomIndex does, from your store's address, with no plugin to install.

WooCommerce and EcomIndex

Keep using these

  • Google for WooCommerce, so your catalog reaches Merchant Center.
  • Merchant Center's AI performance insights, for your share of Google's AI shopping results.
  • Your SEO plugin, for titles, descriptions and robots.txt.

What EcomIndex adds

  • The competitors AI answers name across up to three engines, counted out of every completed answer.
  • The websites those answers cite, so you know who to pitch.
  • Checks built for WooCommerce stores: your product and category pages, policies, structured data and GTINs (Playbook).
  • A 90-day plan built on your Search Console, or the work done for you.

How they work together

The report needs only your store's address: no plugin, no login and nothing to install on WordPress.

The Playbook reads your Search Console and your public pages, and its instructions name the places you'll make each fix: the GTIN field on the Inventory tab, your SEO plugin's robots.txt editor, Merchant Center.

For Get on the shelf, you create a custom user role for us that can edit products, pages and media, and can't see orders, payments, customers or reports. WooCommerce's built-in Shop Manager role can see orders, so we don't use it. We send the exact settings.
